This unique offering is based on the Ashtanga method, including purposeful attention to breath, poses and gaze point. The set sequence of poses of traditional Ashtanga may be explored, including sun salutations, standing postures, a balancing sequence, as well as a seated sequence. However, poses are offered in such a way as to suit all bodies and backgrounds. This class roughly follows the 1/2 primary series, with some modifications / variations throughout. It is a great way to explore what a true Ashtanga class is like, while allowing the time and freedom to experience certain aspects of the practice in greater detail.
